Lewisham fundraises for MTFA

July 2025 will see a hive of fundraising activity in Lewisham to raise vital funds for our next big Lewisham Creative Chorus (LCC) community show, Dancing in the Mirror. We’re thrilled to have received Arts Council England funding for this project. Now we need to match fund to bring this new show to life, and Bellingham to the world stage!

Read on to find out how you can lend your support and help empower change through the arts.

MTFA’s multi-way marathon

Welcome back to the wonderful Lewisham marathon! 4x 6.5mile loops around our home borough that can be run, walked or cycle, or you can swim your chosen distance too. The marathon will take place on Sunday 13th July from The Homestead, Beckenham Place Park, with members of LCC taking part, starting at 7am and finishing at 12.30. Join us! Or support our runners, cyclists, walkers and swimmers here:

Take on your own challenge for MTFA

If you’re not local to Lewisham or marathons aren’t your thing, you can still get involved in the fundraising – you can take on a virtual challenge during the month of July and still raise money for MTFA and LCC. Whether it’s running, cake-making or sponsored silence (get creative!), you can set up your own JustGiving page and raise money for Music and Theatre For All.

LCC’s fundraising gala at The Fellowship Inn

Join us at our creative home, The Fellowship Inn, Bellingham, on Friday 18th July 2025 18:30 – 19:30 as we put the FUN back into FUNDRAISING GALAS!! A one-off night of top quality live music, showcasing some of the best of Lewisham Creative Chorus’s very own amazing creativity. Take the evening off, grab a drink from the bar, sit back and enjoy a performance of the Our Street Medley, featuring hits from last summerโ€™s sell-out Broadway Theatre show. You will also hear our Lewisham Song, newly composed and though we say it ourselves rather rousing This Is Our Home, and catch up with all the gossip on our brand new show, Dancing in the Mirror. We are delighted to be joined by best-selling writer, journalist (The Guardian and the Observer) and all round superstar Rhik Samadder, to discuss writing the show, which celebrates all things Bellingham and the Fellowship Inn from the 1920s right through to the present.

Tickets are by donation via eventbrite. All donations will go towards making Dancing in the Mirror and all our continuing work a reality โค๏ธ ๐ŸŽญ. We look forward to seeing you there!

Spread the word

We now not everyone is in the position to donate to charity at the moment but you can still support in others ways. Why not share the donation page or our The Making of Our Street film on social media? Spreading the word about our events and the work we do can make a huge difference.
