Music and Theatre For All
A local, national and international arts charity
MTFA is unlike any other arts organisation. We think differently. We ask difficult questions. And we want change.
The Arts in the UK are in crisis. We urgently need to find ways to give every child a creative education, and every adult the access, the confidence and the means to benefit from the vital things the arts can give.
We have the vision, the experience and the passion to bring about real change.
The reviews are in…
for our romantic site-specific play with live music,ย Dancing In The Mirror, devised, designed and performed with the legendary Lewisham Creative Chorus alongside Rhik Samadder and Thomas Guthrie.
Performed in Bellinghamโs historic Fellowship Inn on 22nd and 23rd May 2026, you can read more about the show, see the programme, read what people are saying and see the latest pictures here.

At the heart of everything MTFA does is a simple aim: to reach, move and transform people with the best possible live performing art.
***** “Spellbindingโฆ deeply satisfyingโฆ astonishing” Seen and Heard International, L’Orfeo
“Honestly better than anything Iโve seen in the West End. So much heart and truth, and seeing people put their bodies and souls into it like that blew me away. I was in pieces” (audience reaction)“ Audience reaction, Our Street
“This interpretation of one of the greatest masterworks in the field of art song is a revelation. I can believe that people with an in-built negative attitude towards a genre that breathes haughtiness and artificiality can find this a tempting gateway to a new world, populated with ordinary human beings, having ordinary human feelings like happiness and sorrow, love and hate, reacting like the characters in the songs. The sharp dividing line between the cultures needs to be broken, to the benefit of everybody, and hopefully Thomas Guthrie can be the spearhead in this campaign to even out the way” Musicweb International, Schubert 200
“Astonishingโฆ over three hours of exuberant musicianshipโฆ gloriously unexpected entertainment… irresistible” The Times, Death Actually
“More meaning to my present life than I could ever describe in words here. Wonderful!” Audience reaction, Real Life Actually, Brighton Festival
“Stunning โ totally wonderful music and drama โ brimming full of life” Audience reaction, Real Life Actually, Brighton Festival
“One of the most amazing performances Iโve ever been to. It was fabulous” Audience reaction, L’Orfeo
