Our talented community group, the Lewisham Creative Chorus, will performing at the Bellingham Festival on Saturday 14th June 2025 at 2pm.
LCC will be performing a medley of songs from Our Street. This show was our Lewisham urban opera, created by the group alongside creative professionals. It was premiered at The Broadway Theatre Catford last summer.
The Bellingham Festival is held at Bellingham Green, just down the road from our creative base at The Fellowship Inn. This provides a wonderful opportunity to promote creativity and quality music-making and highlight the impact of MTFA’s work at the heart of our community.
About the Bellingham Festival
Since 2009 Bellingham Community Project has successfully managed and helped to coordinate an annual community festival for Bellingham, which is open to all and promotes community cohesion and participation. The summer festival includes music and dance acts and involves local schools and performers, sports and arts activities, and local charity stalls.
In 2023, over 3,800 people attended for a day of fun on Bellingham Green. Residents enjoyed performances from Wuntanara Drumming and a special centenary Bellingham song from Young at Heart among others. There were over 30 local community stalls and activities including football, keep fit, arts and crafts, face painting, and a graffiti workshop!
The 2025 festival promises to be a wonderful event and MTFA are thrilled to be involved.
