We are thrilled to have received a major Arts Council England grant for the first two phases of our Lewisham Urban Opera for 2022, where we work across five schools and with the community to devise a brand new show.
We now need to raise funds for phase three during which we will share our participant-devised opera, written with international composer and lyricist Gwyneth Herbert, in a spectacular performance in the heart of Lewisham as part of the London Borough of Culture celebrations. How can I support the Lewisham Urban Opera?
There are many ways in which people can support Urban Opera
- Get involved in the production: story-telling using music, costumes, dance, puppets, design, backstage, technical, …. and many many other ways besides.
- Encourage and support other people to get involved. Are you a group leader, a business enterprise, or simply connected to a few people in Lewisham who might not know about Urban Opera but who would enjoy getting involved?
