The Lewisham Urban Opera will be an entirely new show created from the ground up by Lewisham residents, alongside exciting industry professionals, during Lewisham’s Borough of Culture year in 2022.

Urban Operas are large scale, multi-disciplinary, spectacular shows that draw together all ages and backgrounds in the community.
No prior experience is necessary!
We still have some key decisions to make regarding infrastructure and planning. We absolutely want to make this project as inclusive as possible and for that reason we need your input. On Wednesday 3rd March the MTFA creative team will present its vision for the Lewisham Urban Opera in detail, after which we’d love to hear your questions and ideas, as well as to ask for your opinions on central aspects of the project.
