Music and Theatre for All (MTFA) was founded in 2014 to champion authenticity in the arts by the director, musician and activist, Thomas Guthrie.

Now in its tenth year, MTFA continues to grow, influencing the arts in the UK and beyond.

Last Friday night at @romseychambermusicfestival: the world premiere of @thomasbastianboy's new arrangement of Schubert's Winterreise. Voice, string quintet, piano. And 20yr old puppet, made by @mandaravabutlin, still locked in the icy landscape, despite the heatwave.

"So alive and moving...." "An emotional rollercoaster..." "At times the interaction between singer/puppet and players made it feel like the music was in the puppet's mind" "Glorious and full of soul" (selection of audience reaction)

Last night some of our company met up again @Fellowshipinn to talk about the Dancing in the Mirror experience.

There were so many stories.

And the walls were still echoing to the sound we made, and the songs were still ringing in our ears.

Here's a glimpse of Side by Side, Singin' in the Rain, Ave Maria and Maybe It's Because I'm a Londoner.

So many people have worked hard to make this possible: RCMF's tireless and inspirational Artistic Director @laurarickard leading the ensemble, with brilliant musicians @emmaroijackers, Kyungsik Shin, @lydiahillerudh, @jaunty_maverick, @jackcherrybass and @zitengfan, and the wonderful @elliepeacock_xx helping @thomasbastianboy bring @mandaravabutlin's beautiful 20-year-old puppet to life. None of it possible without the ever-resourceful technical support of @haztaylo.

The Lewisham Creative Chorus, co-creators, performers. A professional cast of fourteen. A new play by @whatsamadder in his playwriting debut. Music by @thomasbastianboy. Sir Henry Cooper's nephew Neal Cooper as the ghost of his uncle. Brilliant young musicians from @theoutcryensemble and @voxurbane. And a star debut from @jessicaedennn as Jade.

A century of Bellingham, told inside the building that has held it for 100 years.

Dancing in the Mirror — a new play by @whatsamadder, performed at The Fellowship Inn by a professional cast of nine, young singers from @voxurbane's Vox Genesis programme, young players from @theoutcryensemble, and forty members of the Lewisham Creative Chorus.

Thank you to every single person who made it, watched it, sang in it, and held the light.
